Foreskin Development for Intact Men

A good information on foreskin development from boys to men. (taken from http://www.circumstitions.com/Care.html)

Boys
The foreskin usually detaches itself from the glans and becomes retractable during babyhood and/or boyhood. The best person to discover this and encourage it is the boy himself. As it becomes retractable, the boy should be encouraged to wash underneath it, using mild soap, if any (remember, smegma is Greek for "soap"). Stronger soaps are implicated in balanitis (irritation of the glans), and particular suspicion falls on bubble baths.
Youths
If they have not done so earlier, most intact young men learn to retract their foreskins as part of masturbation.
Men
Some men have foreskins that still do not retract, and they are happy to leave them that way. If you are not (if you want it to retract for intercourse, for example) it can be freed non-surgically using an ointment (betamethasone 0.05% - or 1% hydrocortisone cream, sold over the counter under the trade name "Cortaid" or as a generic or economical store brand - applied once or twice a day to the outside of the foreskin from the tip to about mid-glans for up to eight weeks), or surgically without circumcision. If you are in the US, this means looking for a foreskin-friendly urologist. A Japanese firm, Turumaki Corp., offers a do-it-yourself foreskin stretcher, the "Glansie".

Foreskin Stretching Exercise

Came across this stretching exercise from http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/.
Hopefully , it solve your problem. Always treat circumcision as the last resort.

Stretching

The basic principle is to apply pressure to the frenar band, much as one would do to stretch an elastic band. I'll detail two exercises for phimosis, and one for frenulum breve. If you spend 5 minutes twice a day on stretching, that should be adequate. Once it's sorted, carry on for another 4 weeks afterwards to ensure it stays permanent.
The advantage of stretching is that you don't need to show your tackle to any medical professionals, and you can start doing it right now; okay, not right now if you're in an internet café or at work....

Phimosis Exercise 1

This is appropriate if you cannot get two fingers into the foreskin at the end. If you can get two fingers in, skip to exercise 2 - it's more efficient.
i) Attempt to retract the foreskin until there is some discomfort - as much as you can tolerate without being in agony.
ii) Hold for 30 seconds, then pull forwards again.
iii) Relax
Repeat this for 5 minutes. It can help to do it in the bath - the heat helps loosen things up a bit.

Phimosis Exercise 2

This assumes you can get two fingers in - if not, follow the previous exercise.
i) Insert your two index fingers into the opening of the foreskin and feel around for the phimotic ring. If you can't find it, try and retract and see which bit snags on the glans - that's the bit you want.
ii) Pull your fingers in opposing directions. Again, discomfort is okay, but not agony.
iii) Hold for 30 seconds, then pull forwards again.
As above, repeat for 5 minutes, and doing it in the bath can help.

Frenulum Stretching

The frenulum is a slippery little blighter, but it can be stretched. If you have tore your frenulum through sexual activity, let it heal before following these instructions (also, consider using a lubricant to reduce the tugging on it during sex).
i) Locate the phimotic ring (as in phimosis exercise 2)
ii) Grip the end of the frenulum which joins onto the phimotic ring between your thumb and forefinger
iii) Pull away from the body (away from the glans) until taut, and a mite uncomfortable.
iv) Hold for 30 seconds, then let go
You might need to hook your thumb around to stop the frenulum slipping away. Again, doing it in the bath can help.

Phimosis Treatment Stretching

The vast majority of tight foreskins can be loosened within a month by consistent stretching daily.
This stretching will be more effective if done during erection.
The best way to start is by warming the penis. The best time would be when you are having a hot shower. Use baby oil, lotion or any bland cream as a lubricant. However, please beware of the sensitivity of your skin. Gently pull your foreskin forward away from the body for a few times and then gently pull it back as far as it can go onto the head of the penis and let it be in this stretched position for few minutes. Done this stretching for few times a day and try to retract your foreskin everytime you pee.
Other alternative treatments for phimosis, please go to the first post.

Phimosis Treatment - Stretching

Every individual male have different severity of tight foreskin. Different condition of tight foreskin require a different type of treatment.

According to Dr. O.J. Clemmensen's findings, he concluded as below,
1) If the subject has a primary or congenital phimosis, i.e. ever since he can remember, then there is every reason to believe that gentle stretching will mobilise the elastic capacity of the skin tissue.
2) If on the other hand he can remember the phimotic ring developing then it is most probably a secondary phimosis of a lichenoid or fibrous type, such types are atrophic (prone to degeneration), they will generally be difficult to stretch. Clobetasol Propionate and other steroids may help, but recurrent problems require surgery.

If you have tight foreskin or 'phimosis' , do not worry too much. Depending on the severity, some of it can be solved by gentle stretching.

Forceful Retraction of Foreskin

Forcefully retracting your foreskin not only will make you scream in pain but will potentially cause a permanent injury to your penis. Some of the consequences of forceful retraction as below,

Avery's Neonatology :
'Forcible retraction of the foreskin tends to produce tears in the preputial orifice resulting in scarring that may lead to pathologic [i.e., in this case, iatrogenic, or physician-induced] phimosis.”
Roberton's Textbook of Neonatology also warns:
“Forcible retraction in infancy tears the tissues of the tip of the foreskin causing scarring, and is the commonest cause of genuine phimosis later in life.”
American Academy of Pediatrics, (those who formerly discouraged breastfeeding and encouraged daily forced retraction of intact boys) :
“...foreskin retraction should NEVER be forced. Until separation occurs, do NOT try to pull the foreskin back - especially an infant's. Forcing the foreskin to retract before it is ready may severely harm the penis and cause pain, bleeding and tears in the skin. " (From the AAP bulletin, "Care of the Uncircumcised Penis").

My phimosis story

When you are raised in a conservative family and the word 'sex' is taboo, you will normally realised that you are having problem with your penis late in life. That happens to me.
I start to learn how to masturbate the correct way when I am 16 years old, which is where too late among sexually addicted boys. What I mean by correct way is masturbating until reaching orgasm or ejaculation. When do I realise that I have a tight foreskin or in medical term 'Phimosis'? When I reach the age of 19 , the age many young men can show tons of paper listing down their sex experience.
I realise when I have tight foreskin when a young woman that I met in a club performing oral sex on me in the washroom. I will never forget that eventful night because instead of feeling the pleasure, I am actually asking her to stop because it hurts the hell out of me. On the way out of the washroom, she even screamed to the others that I have problem with my penis. Sigh...
Would you want to have the same experience? If not, take action and cure it!

Penis Problems: Phimosis

I read this article from a website (altpenis.com) and want to share with the readers. You can read the complete articles here ----> Penis Problems: Phimosis

Phimosis, which affects about 1 percent of males, is a condition in which the opening of the foreskin is too small to allow it to roll-back over the erect glans (head of the penis). There is a popular misconception that phimosis refers to any condition where the foreskin doesn't retract but in infancy, and sometimes as late as the onset of puberty, the foreskin naturally adheres to the glans much as a fingernail adheres to the flesh beneath it. Put simply, it doesn't roll back because it's not ready to. In the 19th century many boys were circumcised to "cure" them of what was actually a perfectly natural condition. But when adolescence hits and you're getting an erection every thirty seconds, if the foreskin can't roll back then you've got a problem. The central difficulty is that as the glans becomes engorged it expands against the stricture of the foreskin squeezing the glans and causing pain for both parts.
I've read of cases where the distortion of the glans is such that the pee-hole ends up at a right-angle to the penis. Obviously you don't want to go through life associating sex with pain and ejaculating sideways. In such cases circumcision is definitely the lesser of two evils, but is total excision of the foreskin necessary? Well, that depends on what type of phimosis you have. In most cases, the foreskin opening (inferior preputial ring, for you technical types) can be stretched over time using the following simple exercise described on the
NORM (National Organization for Restoration of Foreskins) website.

Now if it were me, I'd lose "enthusiasm" real quick. In such cases - and if your foreskin is very tight - NORM recommends the use of a specially designed tool called a Glansie to stretch foreskin openings. The simple Glansie ST sells online for $80 bucks. A hands-free model (Glansie DX) sells for $100 (well worth the extra $20 I would guess), and for the two of them together you pay $130; though why anybody would need two is beyond me.
Now keep in mind that NORM is all about restoring foreskins. That means foreskins are real important to them and anything is better than hacking one off. You may not be quite so attached to yours, but it's probably worth paying the $100 just in case. Hell, for an extra $30 you can get one for a friend.
The situation is different if one suffers from BXO phimosis. BXO (balanitis xerotica obliterans, for you technical types) is a skin disease that affects both men and women. In men, it's manifested by a ring of hardened tissue with a whitish color at the tip of the foreskin. It is this hardening of the tissue that prevents retraction of the foreskin and also prevents stretching as a means to overcome it.
BXO can be serious. It can cause urethral constriction and a resulting retention of urine which has its own gaggle of complications. It can also lead to the growth of malignant tumors although this is rare. Bottom line: it must be dealt with. The traditional remedy, of course, is circumcision and it's likely the one the doctor will recommend. But if you treasure your foreskin there are alternatives. Doctors and researchers have been throwing everything imaginable at the problem. Corticosteroids, testosterone propionate, clobetasol propionate, and tacrolimus are just a few of the topical ointments that I've never heard of that have proven effective in treating BXO in clinical trials. More recently, laser surgeons have been successful in vaporizing the BXO lesions with carbon dioxide lasers. Chances are though, if your doctor doesn't have a CO2 laser in his office, you'll be going under the knife.
The same goes for a related condition called paraphimosis. This is where the foreskin is able to retract, but is too tight to roll back down when the fun is over. If left too long like this the glans can swell up causing the foreskin to be trapped. Infection sometimes follows and the tissues become inflamed making the situation even worse. But circumcision is not necessarily required as a treatment for this condition. Doctors will sometimes treat the swelling first by compressing the penis with tight bandages and then pulling the foreskin back over it. Another method is to make a small cut in the prepuce to loosen it sufficiently to pull it back down. Neither makes for a good end to a hot date and if it happens on a regular basis you're gonna want to make a date with a surgeon.
Recurrent infections are another reason why men get circumcised (10 percent). I know a man who had himself circumcised at thirteen because he just "couldn't take it any more." But a further 10 to 15 percent get circumcised for no medical reason at all. Why anybody would hive off one half of the erogenous tissue on their penis - just for the hell of it - is a subject for another week.

Phimosis Definition

What is Phimosis?
According to wikipedia, Phimosis is a condition where, in men, the male foreskin cannot be fully retracted from the head of the penis.

The simple explaination is that the foreskin is tight and could not be pulled down below the head of the penis. If you have similar problem, you have a condition called 'Phimosis.

Causes and Risk of Tight Foreskin
Phimosis begins with an infection of the foreskin. If untreated, the infection spreads and the foreskin swells up. Eventually, the foreskin becomes so large that it cannot retract. It is swollen and tight, and cannot be moved back away from the glans.
Phimosis is the result of repeated foreskin infections such as balanitis. It is linked to neglected hygiene. Germs breed under the foreskin with its enclosed glans. The delicate tissues undergo a process of partial healing/partial flare-up/partial healing again. Scar tissue keeps building up and breaking down. Eventually, the scar tissue becomes fibrous - hard, tough and inelastic. It contracts the meatus, pulling the infected foreskin tightly inwards. At the same time, nearby healthy tissue strives to form new scabs and becomes infected. This adds to the spread of germs.

Boys Dilemma

Taken from designapalooza.posterous.com/ban...a-bunker

It's hard to be boy. We are taught to be independant. We are taught to be tough. We are taught to be macho. We are taught not to cry.
BUTTTTT we are not taught about our own penis.
For those who are unfortunate to have phimosis or tight foreskin, we feel helpless. The only place to find a solution is from the Internet. Below is some of the solutions I personally find useful.
All readers should exercise your own judgement on the products below.
